‘I love being able to see that big life change’

It was Awatif AlSabah’s own life struggles that led her to pursue a career in helping others. Now a dedicated life coach, Awatif believes we all deserve to be happy and insists you don’t need to suffer a trauma to seek help.

Please introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m master life coach, Awatif AlSabah.

Tell us about your education.
I studied English literature in Kuwait University. I also studied life coaching and master life coaching which covers NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming), relationships development and hypnosis.

What is life coaching? Why would you ever need a life coach?
Life coaching is a tool that helps people to evolve in life and change their negative attitude to a positive approach to give them confidence and self fulfillment.

What inspired you to be who you are today?
My inspiration was my own life struggle. I got married at a very young age and became a mother so young. I wanted some advice but did not find the correct advice to help me in my youth and immaturity.

When did you establish Pure Soul? Tell us, how did it all start?
From my life struggles I began to seek more books and courses to help me make my life easier. Then I found out about coaching and I thought it was a job I would really love to do every day; to see people transforming from unaware to more aware and to become happier in their lives. That’s when I established Pure Soul, two years ago.

What were some of the challenges you faced when you first started?
My first challenge was earning the trust of my clients so I could give them a relaxed environment enabling them to feel vulnerable and to open up about their own lives.

What are the biggest misconceptions about life coaching?
That’s an amazing question! The misconception is that you have to suffer from a trauma to seek help, which is the biggest cliché ever.

What are some of the tools that you use during your coaching sessions?
In my coaching session we go through a journey of self discovery to establish the limiting beliefs that stop us from going forward in life. Then we check all the values and the limitations and correct them to my client’s advantage.

When you look back at your coaching history with clients, what are the common issues or goals that they raise?
The common issue is self discovery and relationship struggles.

What is the best thing you have ever heard from a client?
The best thing is the self discovery and courage to let go of fear and change their life for their own benefit.

What do you love the most about your profession?
I love being able to see that big life change.

What advice would you give about finding the right life coach?
They must feel comfortable with the coach. The coach must listen to them without judgment and accept them as they are.

Tell us more about the Women Circle Initiative.
The Women Circle was founded by me and coach, Fabiana Santana. It meets once a month to give women support, of all nationalities, and to contribute to society by helping women change from the inside first, then the outside. We tackle different aspects each month and we open the circle for all women to share or listen to the different stories. This gives them the feeling of love and support and makes their life easier. We made it free of charge because we want every woman to get the benefit.

How can we manifest love, peace and joy in our lives?
We can manifest love and joy by living in the now, raising our awareness and accepting life.

Our readers would love to know your motto in life:
I deserve to be happy.

What according to you are the three keys to success?
Giving yourself time, every single day, to meditate. Learn something new. Give gratitude.

What is your favourite travel destination?
Italy. It’s a beautiful country and I speak Italian.

What would you advise people who suffer from stress?
You can reduce stress by meditation and exercise. Also, slow down your hectic schedule by allowing yourself some me-time every day as a reward for your hard work during the day.

Your message for us at CP Magazine:
Keep up your genuine intuition to spread valuable knowledge. Continue being different from others – you’ve earned it!
