THE FIVE PEOPLE YOU MEET IN HEAVEN

THE FIVE PEOPLE YOU MEET IN HEAVEN

By: NADA SOLIMAN

We all have those comfort books that we re-read no matter how many times we have read them before. Most of us have a list of favourite books that we go through at least once a year or every holiday season. I have hundreds of these books, one of which is by one of my all-time favourite authors, Mitch Albom; and I guarantee this will be one of your favourite books of all time too.
Mitch Albom has a way of explaining simple ideas in depth to allow readers a better understanding of the subject. This, in my opinion, is a plus in any book you start reading. He wrote well known titles such as Tuesdays with Morrie (1997), For One More Day (2006), the First Phone Call from Heaven (2013) and many more. Mitch Alhom is an American author, journalist, screenwriter, dramatist, radio, television broadcaster and musician. His books have sold 35 million copies worldwide.

I am a strong believer that everything we do, or do not do, is cosmically related to our existence; our life, our death. If you have a plan and suddenly it gets cancelled or you changed your mind, believe it or not, it indirectly has an effect on another person who is living in, say, Alaska. The natural flow of the universe shouldn’t be resisted and should be respected.
The Five People You Meet in Heaven (2003) tells a story of an old war veteran who passed tragically in an accident. Once in heaven, heaven was not what he expected. He met five people who explained his earth life to him; people he loves, people he never met before, and how each of them changed his life.

This book is a life changing book. It will give you a different perspective over of this simple idea of heaven and life after death. And it is, in its way, a masterpiece.
