Hi, could you introduce yourself in a few words?
My name is Mohammed. I am 29 years old from Kuwait. I have been an art teacher since 2011 and started my career in art in 2012.

Tell us about your education:
I graduated from basic education college with a Bachelor’s of Art and Photography in 2011. I also have a Master’s degree in Art and Photography from 2019.

What is it exactly that you do?
Currently I am the head teacher of the Art Department in Mohamed Mahmoud Najem High school in Jaber Al Ahmed City.

What got you interested in what you’re doing?
It was a childhood hobby which developed through my studies, especially in college.

What makes you unique or special in what you are doing?
I think I have a unique painting style. I always think that my paintings hone more creativity and free thinking.

Tell us your journey to where you have reached today. How was the initial struggle?
I took a long time developing my painting skills. One of my struggles was that I was scared of not developing in art. Fortunately, studying art was very helpful but then came my fear of people criticizing my paintings. Thankfully, I had confidence when joining local galleries and was very happy from the public feedback. When I started my painting career, my goal was to participate in international galleries and I did so, starting in 2015 in Italy and then China, Tunisia, Moldova, Poland South Africa and Greece.

How has been the help of your family in what you are doing? Were they supportive since the beginning?
Of course, yes. In fact my father built me a painting room at home.

Who are your top 3 heroes and why?
-Lionel Messi for proving nothing is impossible.
-Steve Jobs for making technology user friendly.
-Leonardo Davinci for his brilliant mind of connecting science, medicine and art.

What are some of the challenges you are facing in your field and how are you overcoming them?
As mentioned above.

What advice or mentorship made a difference in your career?
There is only one life, enjoy it while you live it.

How would your friends describe you?
An enthusiastic young man trying to learn new hobbies and enjoy them.

What are some of your hobbies?
Playing the guitar.

What are some of your top achievements?
The nomination to represent Kuwait at the Arabian Art workshop in China.

What are your plans or goals for the future?
To work on new art projects that help build an artistic or perhaps an arts admiring society.

How did it feel to be chosen for this award?
I was very happy.

That one day my name will be forever placed in the history of art.
