On 22nd July we were invited for the official launch of the new GOLF GTI by Behbehani motors in Kuwait at the Grand Avenues.
The invitation was for 10:30am which is quite early for Ramadan as most of the events during Ramadan take place during the evenings.
However, we were surprised that the turnout was good and many representatives of different media attended the event.
The model on display was a bright red which definitely was attractive enough for the visitors to the mall and already there were people curious to know what was happening and gathered around the car.
Now in its 7th generation, the Volkswagen Golf has been one of those vehicles that, despite its rivals’ best efforts, outmatches them in terms of build quality, refinement and drive quality.
Visually, the 2017 Golf departs little from today’s four-year-old model, with only minor changes to its exterior.
Up front, there’s a lightly re-profiled bumper with altered grille and air duct styling, lightly restyled wings and revised headlights with altered graphics, LED daytime running lights and a new full LED main beam function in place of the earlier Xenon operated units. The rear receives full LED tail-lights and a newly designed bumper featuring integral tailpipes.
