Hi, please introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Aya. I’m 28 years old, half Tunisian, half Saudi. I was raised between KSA and France. Not a typical hybrid!
Tell us about your education.
I have two HR masters. I graduated in 2014 in Paris and 2015 in London.
How did you get interested in fashion?
When I was 16, I used to watch a lot of American video clips and I was interested in basketball and hip hop. At 18, I travelled to the US with my family and everything started there. I would mix the male and female style to define my own style. Then at 20 I grew up and started to change. When I was studying my last year in London I was taking mirror selfies while I was shopping and I was posting them on Instagram. I wasn’t showing my face back in those days. In two months I got 7k followers. This was how it started.
You have an exceptionally unique look. Where does your style savvy come from, and where do you get your inspiration?
My inspiration is in my brain. I inspire myself. When I see something that I like I buy it, I don’t ask for anyone’s opinion. I know what I want.
What does fashion mean to you?
Your fashion reflects your personality. I’m moody. I have many styles. I always change colours, cuts, outfits etc.
When did you start blogging/ social media, and what was your motivation for getting started?
I started uploading mirror selfies while I was shopping in the UK. It started like this until we moved to Dubai. I wasn’t showing my face but when my family agreed that I could, everything changed for me. I got many business proposals and fashions shows. I didn’t want to be famous I was just doing it for fun. I wasn’t that motivated to success it just came into my life.
What’s your beauty regime?
I drink a lot of water, 3 litres every day. People ask how I keep my weight stable and I have only one answer – I only drink water, nothing more.
What have been your keys to success?
I guess the key to success is to stay who you are without focusing on wanting people to know you. I’m not perfect, and showing yourself as you are, with imperfections, makes people love you more.
Who is your primary audience, and what do you think keeps them coming back to your Instagram page?
My main followers are Saudi. I don’t really know, it might be the way I dress because 99% of my looks are from normal shops such as Zara and Bershka, which are accessible to everyone. I always post all my outfit’s details, and for sure they appreciate that.
How would you describe your own style?
I guess I’m casual/chic.
What are some essentials you think everyone should have in their closets for the coming season?
For this summer:
Boyfriend jeans, ripped
The less you care, the happier you will be.
What word describes you best?
Discreet or silent.
What are your guilty pleasures?

What is your biggest dream in life?
Having twins (baby girls).
What are your favourite hang out spots in Dubai?

What is your biggest accomplishment in Fashion Life Online?
I haven’t reached it yet (Fashion week).
The most important advice regarding fashion/style you can give to women?
Don’t try to copy others, just be yourself. Don’t ask for anyone’s advice, as long as you’re comfortable with your outfit.
Do you have any upcoming events or announcements you wish to share?
I’m working on it!
